Innowell for Administrative staff
Your clinic has now begun to use a mental health platform called Innowell which will be available for patients and clinicians throughout the practice. The Innowell platform is an internet based clinical tool that is used to help with mental health care of individuals Some general answers to questions that patients may ask you are below.
1. What is Innowell?
Innowell is an online platform that helps to better understand our clients and is now available for clients and clinicians to use.
It is a list of questions from validated mental health assessments that are sent to clients prior to their appointments for completion. The questions are compiled - from assessment forms that help look at symptoms of illness and indicators of mental and physical health. Which questions are asked is decided by the clinician.
2. How does the client complete the questions?
The client will be able to enter the website that is set up with the clinician to answer the questions so that the results can be shown in a list and a graph to the clinician – to look at before their next appointment.
The client will also be able to see their results as well as they have their own Innowell page that is just for them.
3. Is it private or can everyone see the clients results?
The only people that can see the information are the client and the clinician as it must have a private personal log in with the client's information in order to complete the assessments and for the client/clinician to see results.
The information that is gathered within the Innowell platform contributes to the clients health record and is kept confidential in adherence to the privacy standards in Australia and Canada.
4. Does the client have to complete all the questions?
A client doesn’t have to complete all or any of the questions however, their results screen will be mostly blank without the information that would be helpful for the best treatment planning.
5. Do administration staff have a role in using this platform?
Admin staff are not expected to help or support anyone through the process of understanding or answering the questions. Please either message or contact the clinician if a client has questions about Innowell content or has any challenges with the process.
If the person has lost their link to the platform, please let their clinician know so that another link can be sent.
6. Can someone else help?
A client can have someone help them answer the questions.
7. Are the questions available in other languages?
The questions are only in English ( or in Canada they are available in French) and the platform is for clients that are over 14 years of age.
